Scholarship Information

The Carlton Engineering Scholarship has been created by the generosity of Alan Carlton to encourage advanced education in the drafting and engineering career fields. The scholarship is for a graduating senior from Ponderosa who plans to pursue a career related to engineering.

Scholarship Requirements

Please submit a completed application.

Must submit a student resume.

Applicant must submit two letters of recommendation. One letter must be from an advanced drafting teacher, if possible.

Must submit a copy of student's current transcript (unofficial copy)

Applicant must submit a brief "statement of interest". A personal account of why they are interested in the drafting/engineering field along with a ststement of goals and future plans

Applicant must be pursuing a career in drafting or engineering fields

Applicant must be of good character and have a strong desire for continuing to learn skills related to this field.

Applicant must have a GPA of 3.0 or better.

The El Dorado Community Foundation administers the Alan Carlton Engineering Scholarship for Mr. Carlton. If you have any questions, please contact the Foundation's office at 530-622-5621, or your career guidance counselor.

Please return the completed application package to the Career Center of your respective high school.
