Scholarship Information

Scholarship provided by El Dorado Unit 119, District 7, American Legion Auxiliary in the amount of $200. Applicant must be a child, grand-child or great-grandchild of a veteran.

Scholarship Requirements

Please submit a completed application (application is specific to American Legion Auxiliary and available at your high school Career Center). Do NOT use the general application provided on this site.

Must submit a student resume which includes a brief description of relative's military service and a statement of student's educational and career goals, and community service.

Must submit three letters of recommendation

Must submit a copy of student's current transcripts (unofficial copy)

Must be a child, grandchild, or great-grandchild of a veteran

Additional Processing and School Specific Information

Ponderosa High School, Union Mine High School, Oak Ridge High School, El Dorado High School and Golden Sierra High School students should return completed application package to the Career Center.

Oak Ridge Instructions: Students must mail their applications directly to scholarship chairperson, Ethel Forsyth. It must be received by the due date above. Ethel Forsyth, 5545 Old Green Valley Road, Placerville, CA 95667.
