Scholarship Information

Barton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Annual Scholarship Program funds a $ 1,500 scholarship to a South Tahoe High School student who wishes to PURSUE A CAREER IN THE HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONS. Award based upon academic achievement, participation in school & community activities/leadership qualities, financial need.

Scholarship Requirements

3.0 GPA Required

Include 2 Letters of Recommendation.

Barton's paper application (available in STHS College & Career Center) required BESIDES the EDC application.

Student must plan a career in medicine.

Students must attend an accredited community college or university the school year following high school graduation. The award will be based on academic achievement, participation in school and community activities, qualities of leadership, applicants' written personal interest in the Health Care Professions, financial need, and (2) letters of recommendation from teachers or employers.

Additional Processing and School Specific Information

Turn the completed EDC site application in to STHS College & Career Center. Attach a brief letter of personal interest in the medical field and your plans to accomplish your goals. Two letters of recommendation must accompany the 2 applications. Your transcript will be attached for you. (By completing and turning in your application you are granting your school permission to release transcript information.)
